A Message from Msgr. Maniscalco
Once again thanks to all who attended our Masses last weekend. The trauma of the pandemic has made all of us cautious about how safe we are outside our own homes, even at church. Our Mass attendance, though improving, is only about 30 percent of what it was before the crisis.

I hope our precautions helped you feel secure when you have come to our church or chapel. Given the reduction in instances of COVID-19 in our region, our re-opening committee has decided that we can make changes in them. We are increasing our seating in our church and chapel from every third pew to every other pew. If the thought of this makes you feel less comfortable about coming to church, please remember that the dispensation from attending Mass remains in effect and we are still offering a taped Mass.

This coming weekend we will also eliminate having to register for Mass. To repeat: for now, at least, parishioners are not being asked to register for Mass in advance. However, we are asking you to keep a log of which Masses you attend, and please still enter by the front doors where you will have your temperature taken. Wearing a mask covering both nose and mouth is an absolute must. Please observe social distancing and respect the desire of others to keep their distance. Also please cooperate with the ushers’ instructions.

The schedule for Sunday Masses for the weekend of August 29-30 is the same as last weekend:
  • 5:00PM Saturday in the church
  • 7:30AM Sunday in the chapel
  • 9:00AM Sunday in the church
  • 9:30AM Sunday in the chapel
  • 10:30AM Sunday in the church
  • 11:00AM Sunday in the chapel
  • 12:00NOON Sunday in the church
Communion is distributed at all Masses.

And thank you for your continued support for St. Thomas both spiritually and materially.

God bless you all and stay well.

In His peace,
Msgr. Frank Maniscalco
