LOW GLUTEN HOSTS FOR COMMUNION

Parishioners who need to receive low gluten hosts should come to the rectory. They will be given a package of low gluten hosts and a pyx which is a small metal container for carrying hosts. When they come to Mass, they should bring the pyx with a low gluten host in it to the sacristy. The celebrating priest will consecrate the host during Mass. At communion time, those receiving low gluten hosts should come into the sanctuary along with the Eucharistic ministers. The priest or deacon will give Communion to them first. They will take the pyx and return to their places. Please call in advance to make sure we have pyxs and packages of a low gluten host available to give you.
