R.C.I.A.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the way in which adults become full active participating members of the Catholic Church.

The Second Vatican Council prescribed that the revision of the rites of the catechumenate be divided into several steps. This means the time of the catechumenate is to be sanctified by liturgical rites and celebrated at successive intervals of time.

The R.C.I.A. helps adults to grow in their relationship with God, become familiar with Catholic teachings and practices, get acquainted with people in the parish and get involved in service within the parish or the wider community.

R.C.I.A. is just the first steps in a journey of faith which lasts a lifetime!
