Advent can be a time to remember other people in our community who will not be receiving many gifts this Christmas. We have discovered that people in our Parish will buy gifts for needy families if the needs are specified. This year, as in the past years, we suggest the following two ways of sharing:
"The Giving Tree and Share-a-Gift"
GIVING TREE
On the feast of Christ the King, the Giving Tree will be in the Church and Chapel. You are invited to take an ornament(s) from the tree. The ornament will have a description of the person and a specific need. Gifts vary in cost. Each ornament is numbered for a specific person. If you take an ornament and cannot purchase it please return the ornament to the tree. Do not substitute another gift or change the size. Please wrap the gift, tape the ornament on the outside of the package and place under the tree on the altar. Since the gifts will be distributed on December 17th & 18th please return all gifts to the Church/Chapel or to the Rectory by December 12th. The pile of gifts under the tree has brightened the holidays for many families.
