ST. THOMAS AUCTION - March 2011

Auction04.jpg

At the end of March, St. Thomas will hold an auction as a parish fund raiser conducted by experienced auctioneer Mr. Fausto Ricci. We hope that this will be an enjoyable as well as profitable event.

We are seeking donations from parishioners of works of art, jewelry, oriental rugs, crystal and porcelain items, and silver and fine household implements, all in good condition. We are also accepting donations of furniture in good condition which, due to space considerations, we will ask donors to hold until just before the auction.

We will also be seeking gifts from local vendors to auction off, with appropriate recognition of their gifts. These might include dinners at fine local restaurants and services such as those offered by car rental agencies, tire companies, pet grooming facilities, electronic stores, beauty salons and apparel shops for men and women.

Volunteers are needed to form a committee to make our auction a success. We are looking for people willing to seek donations from parishioners and vendors and people with publicity skills to get out the auction message. Hard work and dedication are needed but this should be an unusual and pleasant opportunity to support our parish as well.

If you wish to work on the Auction Committee, please call Monsignor Maniscalco at the rectory, 489-8585.
