The Town of Hempstead is presenting a program -- Managing Your Doctor Visits.  This is being presented through the Department of Health and Substance Abuse.  The program is being held on Monday, January 6 beginning at 12:30 pm at the American Legion Post 1087 on Woodlawn Road.  All are welcome.  Coffee and cake will be served.

Sweetheart Dance is February 9th
St. Thomas the Apostle's annual Sweetheart Dance will take place on Sunday, February 9th from 4-8pm at the Plattduetsche Park Restaurant in Franklin Square.  Little ladies and gentlemen in grades Nursery through 8th and their escorts - be it Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle – will enjoy an elegant evening of dinner and dancing, a special tribute to the 8th graders and AWESOME raffles that everyone will love!!!  Formal attire kindly suggested. "Attending to Grief in a Season of Cheer"
The St. Thomas Bereavement Ministry will host an evening on Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:30pm in the Parish Center to assist those coping with the loss of a loved one. The evening will begin with an opening prayer which will be followed by a presentation on helpful coping tips for the upcoming Christmas season and a Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony.  Hospitality will be provided.
